The Carmunnock Village Recreation Club is based in the Old Village school in the Centre of the Village. It provides a centre for Social and Recreational activities. It includes licensed premises, a function hall and pool/snooker facilities. Various activities are held in the function hall. These include local social functions, private functions, wedding receptions funerals, etc.  There are also activities for younger and older people.

In a village very poorly served by public transport, it allows older members of the Community access to social activities.

The premises, which are listed, are leased from Glasgow City Council. The club is managed by an elected Committee

Over the past few years, the club has invested to upgrade the club facilities. The Recreation Club is now also a registered charity.
